Minc Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (MBJJ) was born from a dream to develop a school that teaches discipline and that institutes empowerment to individuals of any age, gender and physical abilities so they have a better understanding of themselves and their lives.

Our goal is to provide more than martial arts classes but a full immersion into the BJJ lifestyle that includes, a simple, healthy way of life and a team building experience while learning the history of BJJ. We believe that our students are part of our family.

We are the first official Team Nova União Academy in Silicon Valley, home of the UFC Hall of Fame Jose Aldo Júnior.

Our goal is to show how people can live their lives to their full potential, through a personalized program of martial arts, regardless of age, ability and physical condition. Our objective is to offer a program that will change each student’s way of life. We work to get our students healthy, self-confident and excited to be part of our community where we constantly help each other to strive in achieving personal and professional goals.

Our Vision is to have an academy for anyone and everyone, regardless of age, gender and physical ability, who wants to learn self-defense, experience physical improvement or change their lifestyle without any pressure or judgment.

What drives us are the changes we see in our students with self-confidence, self-awareness, mood and sense of brotherhood/sisterhood that they didn’t have before starting they journey.

Our coaches/Professors are certified professionals, passionate about their jobs and help you achieve your goals.

Pedro Minc

Dr Charles André, MD, PhD

I am a lawyer and started training with Professor Pedro Minc in 2017 as a purple belt at 69 years old. Because of his training, I won the world masters when I was 70 years old. I have since received my brown belt and two stripes. Professor Pedro Minc is, on top of an excellent teacher, an incredible competitor and with that, able to teach anyone how to excel in the sport. I recommend Professor Pedro Minc as a BJJ teacher to anyone and if you follow his teaching, you will be happy with the results.

Tom Corrie

73-year-old lawyer who, in 2018, became world champion in his category in Las Vegas

Training with Professor Pedro Minc was not only fun but also his teaching brought me a confidence level that I never had before. I always looked forward to my classes because I knew I was going to learn something new and challenging. He is not only a good teacher but also a good person and a great friend.
